Ritu’s presentation examines the fundamentals of online privacy and risk management. It begins by defining OSINT [Open-Source Intelligence] and OPSEC [Operational Security], then considers threat models, content sharing, and the consequences of poor operational security. Ritu’s session next goes on to outline practical steps to stay secure, highlight the risks of browser fingerprinting, and provide useful resources for protection. Finally, it addresses strategies for effective data removal. The aim is to give the Attendees a clear understanding of digital risks and how to manage them responsibly

With her degree in Criminology, Ritu Gill is an Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) Analyst with 18 years of experience working with Canadian law enforcement, including 12 years with the RCMP. With an OSINT Practice specializing in OSINT training and research, Ritu is also co-founder of Forensic OSINT, a software that enables online investigators to capture their findings at the court standard. Ritu is the President of OSMOSIS, an organization committed to standardizing OSINT practices and connecting professionals in the field
